Weekend Guide: April 12-14

Lots to do in East Windsor, Hightstown and Cranbury

It should be a beautiful weekend in our area with lots of sunshine in the forecast and there is lots to do in our area to enjoy the fresh air and have fun with the whole family. 

There will be a stream clean-up event at Village Park in Cranbury tomorrow starting at 1 p.m. This is the second and final weekend of the event and volunteers are asked to wear long sleeves and closed toed shoes. People wishing to help should also bring a water bottle and work gloves if available. 

A similar event is scheduled to be held tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Etra Lake Park.

If you have a little princess in your family nearby Quakerbridge Mall will be having a princess party tomorrow from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Center Court. There will be fairty tale guests and other activities as well as music, stories, coloring and more. 

St. David's Episcopal Church in Cranbury will be hosting a Women's Tea tomorrow from 3 p.m. to 5:30 with homemade scones and tea sandwiches available. The guest speaker will be a representative from Dress for Success of Mercer County. The cost is $25 and guests are asked to bring a clothing accessory that can be donated to the organization.

On Sunday morning, Mercer County Park will be the site of a 5K race with the money going to a family of a Hamilton resident who died of a brain tumor. Tyreek Trammell was just 9-years-old when he died of a rare form of a tumor. The money raised will also help ComforTree which helps cancer patients and their families.  The event will start at 9 a.m. at the park. and the cost is $30 to participate.

The East Windsor Fire Department will also be hosting a psychic fair at their One Mile Road location. The event will be held on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Proceeds from the event benefit the department's auxiliary.
