Weekend Guide: Strawberry Fest, Get Out and Play Day

Check out what is going on this weekend in East Windsor, Hightstown, and Cranbury.

With sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-to-high eighties this weekend, it is definitely time to get outside! Here are two splendid ways to spend your weekend with the family and enjoy the local community!

Strawberry Festival

The First Presbyterian Church of Cranbury is holding their Strawberry Festival this Saturday, June 1 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Indulge in strawberry shortcake with ice cream and berries and then burn it off by playing some games! Admission is $7 at the door and $28 for a family of five. There will also be hamburgers and hot dogs for sale by the local cub scout group. All of the proceeds benefit the church.

Get Out and Play Day

The Hightstown Elks Lodge is holding their second annual “Get Out and Play Day” on Sunday, June 2 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. This special day is dedicated to the community’s youth and encourages them to come and participate in fun, outdoor activities. The competitions, including a Soccer Shoot and Hoop Shoot, are broken down by age and winners can advance to different levels.
