Princeton HS Student Earns Scholarship From NJSIAA

Tim Brennan received an NJSCA Scholarship for $500.

A Princeton High School student was among seven scholar athletes in Mercer County awarded with a total of $5,500 in college scholarships by the New Jersey Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA), the state’s governing body for high school sports announced Thursday afternoon.

Tim Brennan received an NJSCA Scholarship for $500. 

Each NJSIAA member school can select one senior student as their scholar athlete of the year, and scholarships are awarded by random drawing, according to the NJSIAA.

Scholar athletes have their names entered into drawings for all scholarships for which they are elgible

The scholarships are donated by the NJSIAA corporate sponsors, and other organizations that support high school sports. Most scholarships are available to all students, and there is a limit of one scholarship per student athlete, according to the NJSIAA.

Hamilton North-Nottingham High School – Valerie Suto – NJ Assoc. of Former County Superintendents – $500

Hopewell Valley Central High School – Nigel Bates – Wilson – $1,000

Princeton High School – Tim Brennan – Star Ledger – $500

Robbinsville High School – Lauren Fischer – NJ Supervisors and Principals Association – $1,000    

Trenton Catholic Academy – Stacey Labissiere – First Choice Bank – $1,000   

Trenton Central High School – D’Ara Tatum– Star Ledger – $500
