1. Please introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about your background and why you should be elected.

I have lived here in East Windsor for over 43 years and have loved every minute of it. After college in Philadelphia, I worked for several years as a municipal bond salesman and then discovered some degree of talent as a writer and comedian and spent the rest of my working life as a radio and tv host in NY. I have served on the Planning Board, the Recreation Commission and the Environmental Commission and am currently council liaison to the Clean Communities Commission and the Commission on Aging. I am also volunteer on the Board of RISE, a wonderful local charity. I want to continue giving back to East Windsor for all the benefits my family and I have enjoyed while living here.

2. What do you think distinguishes you from other candidates? What do you bring to the table?

I think that we are all the sum of our experiences. I was an instructor in the US Army where I learned quite a bit about expressing myself in an informative way. I believe that that experience enhanced my abilities as a communicator on radio and TV and is an important ability for a Councilman. Mostly, though, my life experiences have taught me how to pay attention and to stay focused on the issues that affect my friends and neighbors as a member of Council.

3. What are the most pressing issues facing the community today? How would you approach and resolve these issues?

For the most part, it's about doing a lot with a little. The Municipal share of the taxes we collect amounts to 13.77%. Out of that portion we, the Council,  must  maintain the high quality municipal services like Police, Public Works and Open Space that we all enjoy while being financially conservative and paying close attention to what we, the council, do that deeply affects today’s residents and future residents. I’m very proud of the opportunity I'm now being offered to continue working with Mayor Mironov and this dedicated council in keeping East Windsor a great place to live.
