New Jersey Election 2013: Greenstein Edges Inverso in Tight Race

Libertarian candidate Dan Dezarn of East Windsor tallied 1,001 votes to finish third.

They don’t come much tighter than this one.

Democratic State Sen. Linda Greenstein edged former State Sen. and Republican Peter Inverso 30,999 to 29,759 to hold on to her seat in the 14th Legislative District Tuesday night, according to unofficial results posted by the Middlesex County and Mercer County clerks’ offices.

Libertarian candidate Don Dezarn. Dezarn of East Windsor registered 1,001 votes. Had Inverso, a former Assistant Majority and Deputy Minority Leader in the Senate, collected the votes earned by Dezarn, he still would’ve fallen about 240 votes short of victory.
