NATIONAL SCOUT SUNDAY

The Scout Law says that a "Scout is Reverent" and Scouts of all ages promise to do their "Duty to God." These values strengthen youth character in their family, community and faith.

In observance of National Scout Sunday, a tradition that was started in the 1940's  that celebrates its founding by Robert Baden Powell, founder of the Boy Scouts of America in 1907, the Scouts in the Parish of St. David’s Episcopal Church invite all area Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturers, Girl Scouts and Leaders to join us on Sunday February 3, 2013 at 10:00am in procession for Scout Sunday mass.

Scouts will participate in the service as greeters, ushers, flag bearers, readers and presenters. They will renew their vows to serve the greater good.

All Scouts and leaders should wear their Class A uniforms.

Scout Sunday 2013 patches will be given to all Scouts and Scouters in uniform.

A Scout is Prepared, Please contact Rex A. van Veldhuisen to let him know if you are interested and how many Scouts/ Scouters are coming.
