Are Snooki and JWoww Headed to Manchester?

Rumors abound, but no official confirmation from show producers

Reports are swirling that MTV stars Snooki and JWoww may be headed to Manchester.

Multiple residents who live on or near Johnson Avenue have written in to Patch to say that they've seen trucks and other vehicles with New York license plates at a home near the township's POW-MIA Park, supposedly gearing up for filming of "Snooki & JWoww," a "Jersey Shore" spinoff.

Manchester Mayor Michael Fressola said that he spoke with the owner of the alleged filming site, a large, modern two-story home, who said that a deal to lease the property for the production was in the works. Fressola could not confirm that such a deal was executed, however.

When contacted by Patch, the owner of the property declined to confirm that the home had been leased out for production of the show and deferred questions to Fressola.

No one from MTV has contacted the township about the shoot, Fressola said. Unlike other municipalities, such as Toms River where , nothing in Manchester's code excludes the MTV show, or any production, from shooting in a neighborhood. Producers also do not need a permit to shoot in town.

If Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jennifer "JWoww" Farley are headed to Manchester, Fressola has one request.

"The only thing I can insist upon is that they be good neighbors," he said.

Fressola said that he was told by the property owner that shooting would take place "to a very great extent in the interior" of the home and will be completed in October.

The show's producer and a production coordinator at MTV did not immediately return requests to confirm that filming will be done in Manchester.
