East Windsor Man Seeks Funds for Daughter's Softball Expenses

Patch has partnered with GoFundMe, a crowdfunding website that helps people raise money for charity or specific needs. Each week, East Windsor Patch will be featuring a different local GoFundMe campaign in need of donations - and this week we are featuring Abby Bell, an East Windsor girl who needs money in order to play softball on a local travel team. 

Abby is a second year 10U softball player who has been playing for five years. Her father Richard Bell posted a campaign on GoFundMe in order to raise money so that Abby can play on a local travel team. According to Bell, the travel team costs about $1,500 plus pitching coach fees. 

Bell said he is very proud of his daughter and wants her to continue playing softball, which is her passion. Abby plays pitcher, first base, and catcher. She even won a Most Valuable Player award at a tournament this past year, according to Bell. 

Right now Bell’s campaign has raised $500 and his goal is to collect $2,000.
