East Windsor PAL Softball Team Honored for State Championship Win

The Police Athletic League Little League Girls 9/10 Softball All-Star Team champions were recognized for their great season.

The East Windsor PAL Little League Girls 9/10 Softball All-Star Team, nicknamed "Thunder," was honored by Mayor Janice Mironov for their 2013 New Jersey State Championship and 2013 Eastern Regional Championship achievements. The "Thunder" is the first East Windsor PAL team and the first New Jersey team in their age group to win the Eastern Regional Championship. 

The mayor issued a Mayoral Proclamation and awarded team members with championship medals. She also presented the team with a roadway sign that reads: "East Windsor Township, Proud Home of 2013 New Jersey State and 2013 Eastern Regional Champions, Girls 9/10 Softball, East Windsor PAL Little League." 

“The mighty East Windsor Police Athletic League Girls 9/10 Softball All-Star Team had an amazing run, emerging undefeated with an overall 15-0 tournament record, a combined score of 152-11, pitching 6 no-hitters, 1 perfect game, recording 161 strikeouts and 143 hits for a team batting average of .440,” the mayor's proclamation read.  “The East Windsor Little PAL Little League Girls 9/10 Softball All-Star Team’s championship triumphs demonstrate the Team’s extraordinary skills and training, persistence, dedication and effective teamwork, making their family and the entire community extremely proud.”
