Low-Flying Helicopter May Be Seen Near Cranbury

JCP&L is using the helicopter to inspect power lines.

A low flying helicopter may be seen in Cranbury around power lines this week as Jersey Central Power & Light conducts their annual vegetation management inspections, according to the township .

Haverfield Co. will be flying Transmission Forestry Supervision personnel around the area to gauge effectiveness of prior year's herbicide application, according to a notice posted on the township’s website. They will also identify any conditions that may need further inspection.

The helicopter, which will travel around 35 to 40 mph, may be seen through Aug. 20, and is grey in color with a black bottom and stripe. The tail number is N555JC.
