Winning $10K Lottery Ticket Sold at East Windsor ShopRite

The East Windsor supermarket sold the third place lottery ticket.

The East Windsor ShopRite sold a third-prize winning New Jersey Lottery ticket worth $10,000 for the Wednesday, Oct. 23 drawing, according to a press release issued by the New Jersey Lottery.

The winning jackpot ticket, worth $213.4 million, was sold in California. The second prize ticket, valued at $1,000,000, was sold at the Kwik Farms in Tinton Falls. In addition to the third place ticket sold in East Windsor, a second third place ticket was sold at Fiji Wine & Liquors in Union City. This ticket used the Power Play option, so it was valued at $40,000.

“Congratulations to these fortunate lottery players who purchased the winning tickets and to the retailers that sold them,” Lottery’s Executive Director Carole Hedinger said in the press release. “For selling the winning tickets, the retailers have become three more of the Lottery’s ‘lucky locations’ overnight.”

In addition to the Garden State’s second and third-prize winners, 57,323 other New Jersey players took home $309,716 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200, according to Hedinger. The winning numbers for the Wednesday drawing were: 03, 23, 31, 34 and 47. The Red Power Ball number was 13. The Powerball jackpot will reset to $40,000,000 for the next drawing to be held Saturday, Oct. 26 at 11 p.m.
