Meet a Volunteer: Darek Hahn

A feature on local volunteers.

This week is Volunteer Appreciation Week, and Patch is starting a feature of volunteers from around town.

Meet volunteer Darek Hahn:

Hahn has lived in Hightstown for 14 years and was on the Parks and Recreation Committee for three years, serving as chair for two of them.

He is also the Race Director for Hightstown Triathlon, the Greenway Pedestrian Bridge Committee Chair and a member of the Hightstown Planning Board.

Hahn said he has been volunteering in town for the last seven or eight years, and does it because it is the right thing to do.

Do you know a volunteer that should be featured on Patch? Email Ashley Peskoe at ashley.peskoe@patch.com.

If half the people in Hightstown [ and I include myself in this ] had half the energy half the time that Darek has full-time, we'd be even more a little slice of heaven than we are now. For sheer organizational capability, personableness and drive, Darek's the go-to dude.
