Shelter Searching for a Loving Home for Lenny

Animal Friends of Education and Welfare is looking for a family to adopt or foster a dog.

Animal Friends of Education and Welfare is asking for your help finding a home for a dog that has spent more than a year in the shelter.

The American Bulldog mix named Lenny is three years old, up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. He was found in on May 19, 2011 wandering around Hamilton with a Dachshund.

Both dogs were brought into the shelter and named Lenny and George, after the Mice and Men characters. George, the Dachshund, was adopted shortly after going to the shelter.

“Lenny watched as George drove away with his new family. Lenny didn’t give up though; he is still waiting and showing his happy, smiling face to all who stop by the shelter in the hopes that his luck will change,” said a flyer from A.F.E.W.

The shelter said Lenny is loving and walks well on a leash.
