Cranbury Obituary: Doris Koteles, 89

Koteles belonged to the Order of Eastern Star Ruth Chapter No. 12, Golden Ages Neighbor of Cranbury.

Doris E. (Hartzog) Koteles, 89, entered into eternal life on Friday, April 12, 2013 at Merwick Care and Rehabilitation Center in Plainsboro, NJ. Born in Weatherly, PA, daughter of the late Walter J. and Huldah L. (Eroh) Hartzog, she had lived in Pleasantville, NJ for many years with the love of her life, husband, Frederick (Ernie) Koteles before moving back to Hillsborough, NJ where she lived for the past twenty-five years where a sudden illness took her home to her Lord and Savior.

Doris enjoyed caring for her family as a homemaker. She belonged to the Order of Eastern Star Ruth Chapter No. 12, Golden Ages Neighbor of Cranbury, Ladies Guild of the Hungarian Reformed Church of Manville, the Autumn Club, Somerville Food Bank and assisted with making pierogi's at St. Peter & Paul's Church with the proceeds going to help the homeless. Doris also worked with the Clothing Drives to help the Appalachian Indian Project of Lancaster, KY.

Doris leaves behind her loving son and daughter-in-law, Walter and Pearl Koteles of New Gretna, NJ; her dear siblings, Alice Kulina of Cranbury and Walter Hartzog and his wife Margaret of Manville. She will be missed by her cherished grandchildren, Debra Lee Torres and Walter L. Koteles, Jr. and his wife Carole and by her great-grandchildren, Ethan Lewis Torres, Kyle Walter Koteles and Brandon Koteles.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Monday, April 15, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 beginning 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Zsolt Otvos officiating from Magyar Reformed Church in New Brunswick. Committal words and interment will follow at New Cemetery in Somerville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations sent to the Manville Reformed Church, 238 South Fifth Avenue, Manville, NJ 08835 would be appreciated.
