East Windsor Obituary: Barry Skolnick, 71

Skolnick lived in East Windsor for 45 years.

Barry Skolnick, 71, died on Friday Dec. 13, 2013. Born in the Bronx, NY, Skolnick was a former resident of Brooklyn before moving to East Windsor 45 years ago. He attended Brooklyn College. Skolnick was a research and development chemist and developed the metalized film laminate for the U.S. Space Program (NASA), which is on display at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. He held three patents in this field.

Father of the late Elizabeth H. Roessner, Mr. Skolnick is survived by his wife Dolores Eagon Skolnick; a daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Helen Skolnick and Dr. Daniel Goldsmith; two grandchildren, Ian and Erin, and a son-in-law, Erik Roessner. Mr. Skolnick was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will always be remembered.

Funeral services and burial are Monday at 11:30 a.m. at Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus, NJ. The family respectfully requests memorial contributions be offered to a charity of the donor's choice . Arrangements are by Orland's Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Road, Ewing Township.
