East Windsor Woman Dies at 47

Maureen A. Shaw-Kahrs, 47, of East Windsor died on Monday, March 25, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital of Hamilton. Born in Sayreville, NJ, Maureen lived her entire life in the New Jersey area.

Shaw-Kahrs loved to travel and was in an endless pursuit to see as much of the world as she could in her lifetime. Maureen was a wonderful, devoted wife and mother. Shaw-Kahrs was a graduate of Rutgers University and received her MBA from Pace University. Maureen was a CPA and currently was employed as the tax director with Rhodia Inc.

She was predeceased by her father, Robert Shaw. Shaw-Kahrs is survived by her husband, Scott; son, Robert, and daughter, Megan; her mother, Mary, and sisters, Linda, Kelly and Stacey. Maureen, being Irish, also had a very large family that resided in both Ireland and the United States.

Calling hours will be held Friday, March 29, from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. at the Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, 202 Stockton Street, Hightstown, NJ 08520. Funeral services will be held at 7 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Shaw-Kahrs' name to Penn's Way, a division of the University of Penn Hospital (a charitable organization which support's the hospital that gave Maureen 12 additional years to be with her family) or Notre Dame High School (since Maureen is passionate about the education of children).
