Hightstown Obituary: Suzanne Powell, 60

Powell was a member of of the American Legion Post 148 in Hightstown.

Suzanne Powell, 60, of Hightstown, entered into God's care on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, she was educated in the Trenton public school system, where she attended Trenton Central High School. Suzanne was a member of the American Legion Post No. 65 in Metuchen, as well as Post No. 148 in Hightstown.

She worked for Holland Greenhouse for 28 years, retiring shortly thereafter.
Daughter of the late Leon Edwards, and mother of the late Todd Lee Powell, she leaves to cherish her memory, her loving partner, James McCloskey; her son, Raymond Powell Jr.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Thomas Burket, Danielle and Dennis Sessa; her mother, Dorothy Meyer Edwards; two sisters, Dorothy Levandusky and Nancianne Chong; four grandchildren, Ashley, Brianna and Samantha Powell, and Cassidy Burket.

Funeral services were private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were by the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 1863 Hamilton Ave., Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Suzannne's memory to the Calvary Assembly of God Church, located at Hightstown, 120 Mechanic St., Hightstown, NJ 08520.
