Thomas J. Ward Jr., 88 died Sunda. Born in Philadelphia, he lived in the Hightstown area most of his life.
A graduate of Northeast High School, he retired from RCA Laboratories with over 34 years of service. Ward was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion and of Hightstown, and he was also a member of the Tin Can Sailors and the Navy Memorial. He was a longtime member of the Cranbury Golden Agers and for over 20 years assisted many people as a member of Volunteer Free Tax Preparations.
Son of the late Thomas J Ward Sr. and Ester Devlan Ward, he was the husband of the late Cora “Corky” Drew Ward, who died in March.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, John M and Kimberly Ward of Warminister, Pa.; one daughter, Linda L. Diene of Langley, British Columbia; ten grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Funeral Home, 202 Stockton Street, Hightstown. Interment will be Thursday at the Brig. Gen. William C Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
