Letter to the Editor: Kudos to Hightstown Diner During Hard Times
Hightstown resident thanks Hightstown Diner for its service after Hurricane Sandy
To the Editor,
The Hightstown diner never lost power during the entire time of Hurricane Sandy. It was a really bright star reaching out to many people around the area. We met people there from Bayhead as they were going to work through here–FedEx drivers–and they said there was not one place to buy coffee all the way until they came to the Hightstown Diner. We met people from Clearbook and Rossmoor who had never been there before and were happy to find a place to go.

The main thing I want to emphasize is the employees at the diner and the owner Terry went above and beyond and were always pleasant and provided great service. This has always been one of the best places in Hightstown, and really offered a sanctuary for many people. They could not have been more accommodating and also charged our cell phones if needed.
