Letter to the Editor: Re-elect David Cook and Jay Taylor for Cranbury Township Committee
Re-elect David Cook and Jay Taylor for Cranbury Township Committee
To the editor:
I write in support of re-election of David Cook and Jay Taylor to the Cranbury Township Committee.
I attended Candidate's Night Forum held Oct. 10 and was very impressed by their command of township budget details, their savvy regarding grant applications, and their overall reasoned approach to the demanding task of balancing taxing authority with delivery of services. In their prior service on the committee, they both have amply demonstrated prudent and visionary leadership.

In contrast, it was clear that the two challengers, Tom Connolly and Cindy Smithers, are not ready to serve on Cranbury's highest governing body. Although earnest in their ambition, they would be well advised to seek appointment to any of the supporting township boards or committees such as Planning, Zoning, Environmental, Human Services, Historic Preservation, Recreation, Cranbury Housing Associates, etc.
These commissions, committees, and boards are always looking for new members and both of these challengers would benefit by becoming more familiar with the broader set of issues and concerns facing Cranbury.

Cranbury is indeed fortunate to have such gifted and dedicated public servants as David Cook and Jay Taylor, and I enthusiastically support their re-elections.
