Cranbury to Participate in First 'National Night Out'

National Night Out is scheduled for Aug. 6 at Village Park.

Cranbury Township will be participating in National Night Out, a crime and drug prevention event, for the first time. The 30th annual National Night Out is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 6.

Residents are asked to join forces with the Cranbury Township Police Department FOP Lodge No. 68, and with thousands of communities nationwide for the event, which is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts, and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police community partnerships. 

The event will take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Village Park.  All residents in all neighborhoods in the Township of Cranbury, are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend the evening outside with friends, neighbors, members of the Cranbury Police Department, Cranbury Fire Department, and Cranbury EMS.

Some of the activities at the event will include DJ Reggie, Moon Bounces, Dunk Tank, food, drinks, a car show and much more, the Cranbury Police Department said.
