Driver of Overturned Car in East Windsor Pronounced Dead

East Windsor police have announced that the driver of the car that overturned on Thursday has died in the hospital.

A Monroe man who struck a utility pole on Route 130 in East Windsor on Thursday has been pronounced dead, according to police. Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center staff announced that Anthony Saer, 72, died at approximately 12:07 p.m. on Sunday, March 17.

Saer experienced a medical event preceding the accident which caused his car to leave the road, hit a utility pole, and overturn. His death was a result of the medical event and complications from injuries that were sustained in the accident, according to police.

Police shut down Route 130 immediately following the accident and rescue teams rushed to extract the victims. Another passenger was in the vehicle with Saer at the time of the accident, but sustained non-life threatening injuries.
