East Windsor Family Arrested After Dispute at City Streets Cafe

A man from East Windsor reportedly damaged another person's car and punched the car owner in the face; his family was reportedly disruptive during the investigation.

East Windsor Police arrested and charged two brothers and their parents after a dispute that took place in the parking lot of the City Streets Cafe on Route 130 shortly after 7 p.m. on Jan. 13, police reported. All of them are residents of Dutch Neck Road in East Windsor Township.

Brendan Shaw, 28, was charged with disorderly conduct, obstructing justice, criminal mischief and assault, while his brother, Brian Shaw Jr., 29, was charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing justice. Their parents, Brian Shaw Sr., 49, and Yvanne Shaw, 49, were each charged with “annoyance of persons”, which is a municipal ordinance violation, according to police.

Brendan Shaw allegedly left the bar after becoming involved in an argument and began striking a parked car. Dents and paint damage estimated at $500 were caused to the vehicle. The owner of the vehicle, whom Shaw reportedly did not know, came out of the restaurant and attempted to stop Shaw from damaging his car. Shaw then proceeded to punch the vehicle's owner in the head, but he declined medical attention.
