East Windsor Man Charged with Gun and Heroin Possession

Kevin Castaneda was arrested during a narcotics investigation.

An East Windsor man was arrested for allegedly being in possession of drugs and a handgun, according to police. 

Kevin Castaneda, 18, was apprehended during a narcotics investigation on Dec. 11. East Windsor police obtained a search warrant for an apartment on Devonshire Drive where they found Castaneda in possession of heroin, drug paraphernalia, prescription drugs without a prescription, and a .38 caliber Derringer style handgun, police said. 

Castaneda was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon during a crime, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, distribution of a controlled dangerous substance in a school zone, distribution of heroin, possession of heroin, possession of a prescribed drug without a prescription, and possession of paraphernalia. He was remanded to Mercer County Corrections in default of $85,000.
