East Windsor Man Dies in Car Crash with Concrete Truck

A 74-year-old East Windsor resident died in a car crash Wednesday after his car collided with a truck on Route 130; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

East Windsor Police responded to the collision on Route 130 north at the intersection of Route 33 at around 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday. An International Truck shipping materials for the Mershon Concrete Company hit an Infiniti sedan as it entered into an intersection on Route 130 South from Route 33 West, according to police. Both of the cars stopped on the center median of Route 130. 

The driver of the sedan was Rangarau Sudhakara, of Sousa Court in East Windsor; he was extricated from the car and pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The driver of the truck, Robert Conover Jr., 52, of Wrightstown, did not report any injuries. 

Along with East Windsor Police, the East Windsor Volunteer Rescue Squad #2, the  East Windsor Volunteer Fire Department #1, the Hightstown Volunteer Fire Department, Capital Health Ambulance, Capital Health Paramedics, and Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office responded to the scene.

Traffic on Route 130 South was closed surrounding the scene of the accident for about one hour and Route 130 North was closed while the scene was cleared.

The collision is currently under investigation by the East Windsor Polidce Department Traffic Safety Unit and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Serious Collision Response Team. No charges have been filed, according to police.
