Lemus Estrada was charged with multiple counts in the stabbing death of Carlos Tinizhanay-Arias.
An East Windsor man has been indicted in connection with the murder of a 28-year-old man, Mercer County Prosecutor Joseph L. Bocchini Jr. announced on Monday.
Cristian Lemus-Estrada, 19, of the Windsor Castle Apartments, was indicted on one count of murder, one count of third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and one count of fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon in the stabbing death of Carlos Tinizhanay-Arias, Bocchini said.
Police discovered Tinizhanay-Arias in a Windsor Castle Apartment on April 19 of this year. They reported to the scene at about 11:40 p.m. and found he had been stabbed in the torso once with a kitchen knife.
He was pronounced dead at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton about an hour later, and Lemus-Estrada was apprehended about three hours after the stabbing at a nearby apartment.
He remains in the Mercer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500,000 bail.
