Heroin, Cocaine, Guns Seized from Twin Rivers Condo

The Mercer County SIU led the investigation.

A month long investigation by the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations Unit ended Thursday when two men were arrested in East Windsor and 170 decks of heroin, five grams of cocaine, and two guns were seized from a Twin Rivers condo, Mercery County Prosecutor Joseph Bocchini announced Monday.

The SIU, led by Lt. Mike Novembre along with the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, the East Windsor, Ewing, Hamilton, and Lawrence police departments and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, executed a search warrant at the apartment of Eric Fox, 45, of Twin Rivers.

Officers conducting surveillance at the location apprehended Fox and Barry Bersch, of Yardley, Pa., as they exited the condo at around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday and the residence was searched, according to Bocchini.

Also, a 9mm Beretta semiautomatic handgun, ammunition, and handgun holsters were discovered within a basement safe, according to Bocchini.

When officers searched Fox they found him to be in possession of 106 decks of heroin valued at about $1,700, approximately five grams of powder cocaine valued at approximately $500, a digital scale and $16 in cash, the report continued.  A crack pipe, a plastic bag with cocaine residue, and $139 in cash were found on Bersch, 43, when he was searched, Bocchini said.
