Hightstown Police Blotter: Drunken Driving, Assault, and Criminal Mischief

The following arrest information was supplied by the police department of Hightstown Borough. It does not indicate a conviction.

Drunken Driving Charges

Officers arrested William Gualan, 28, on Oct. 21 at 3 a.m. on Westerlea Avenue and charged him with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated in a school zone, reckless driving, and unlicensed driving.

Police said Gualan, of Brooklyn, NY, was stopped for suspicious activity in the area. While speaking with the subject, police said the officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage.

Gualan was given field sobriety tests, which he failed, and was subsequently arrested, police said.

He was transported to police headquarters, where he submitted breath samples that resulted in a reading of 0.13 percent blood alcohol content. He was released to a friend pending court action.

Warrant Arrest

Officers arrested Bellisario Mizhirmubay, 25, on Oct. 21 at 6:55 a.m. on Lincoln Avenue and charged him with contempt of court. 

Police said they responded to ­his residence on Lincoln Avenue to serve two warrants issued by Hightstown Borough Municipal Court totaling $850.

Mizhirmubay was taken into custody without incident and later released on bail pending court action.

 

Police Search for Assault Suspect

 Police responded to Harron Avenue on Oct. 21 at 2:52 p.m. after receiving a report of an altercation. 

Police said they met with subjects who reported Mario Mastellone, 18, came to a residence there armed with a baseball bat in an attempt to assault the residents. An altercation reportedly ensued and Mastellone, of Bristol Way, East Windsor, fled the area prior to the police arrival.

An arrest warrant for Mastellone has been issued in the amount of $10,000 full. The suspect has not yet been apprehended and anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Hightstown Borough Police Department.

 

Vehicle Damage on Academy Street

An Academy Street resident reported criminal mischief to a vehicle, which occurred between 8:30 a.m. and 5:04 p.m. on Oct. 22.

Police said the victim reported that unknown subject(s) utilized an unknown object and scratched the passenger side of the victim’s vehicle from front to back. The dollar amount of the damage was not known at the time of the report. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Hightstown Borough Police Department.
