Hightstown Police Blotter: Warrant Arrests and Drunken Driving

Warrant Arrest
Police arrested Amina Jackson, 37, on Nov. 14 at 3:19 p.m. on Franklin Street and charged her with contempt of court.

Jackson, of Cream Ridge, NJ, was stopped for a motor vehicle infraction and was found to have an active warrant issued by Clementon Municipal Court in the amount of $391, police said.
Jackson was released upon posting bail.

DWIs For East Windsor Woman
East Windsor resident Anna Yablon, 40, faces drunken driving charges after she was arrested on Nov. 18 at 1:56 a.m. on Franklin Street.
Yablon was stopped for a motor vehicle infraction, police said, and the officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. Yablon failed field sobriety tests, police said, was taken into custody, and submitted breath samples that resulted in a reading of 0.13% BAC.
She was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated in a school zone, reckless driving, and failure to maintain lamps. Yablon was released pending court action.
Drunken Hit and Run
Police responded to Oak Lane on a reported hit and run motor vehicle collision on Nov. 18 at 11:39 a.m. While police investigated the incident, the driver, Patricia Martin-Cruser , 54, returned to the scene on foot. Police said she was intoxicated.
The Hightstown resident was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated in a school zone, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, and failure to report an accident.
She was taken into custody and released pending court action.
No BAC readings were available at the time of the report, police said.
Hightstown Man Turns Himself In
On Nov. 19 at 7:32 p.m., Frank Zhinin, 23, turned himself in to Hightstown police on a warrant issued by South River Municipal Court in the amount of $114.
Police arrested Zhinin, of Hightstown, and charged him with contempt of court.
He was released upon posting bail.
