Hightstown PD Report: Disorderly Conduct, 2 DWI's, Urinating in Public

Disorderly Conduct

Jesus Januario, 44, of the Townhouse Apartments on Manlove Avenue, Hightstown, was arrested about 8:20 a.m. on Jan. 13 after police responded to a “report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance within a residence” on Manloe Avenue. Januario was charged with disorderly conduct. He was processed at the police station and held until he became sober. He was then released, pending court action.

Urinating in Public

Clever Jimenez, 41, of Old Millstone Road, East Windsor, was issued a citation for urinating in public about 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 14 after police received a complaint about a “male subject urinating in public on Stockton Street.” Officers were able to locate the individual – identified as Jimenez – and issue to him the citation. Jimenez was released from the scene with the summons complaint, with court action pending.

Driving While Intoxicated

Margaret Obrien, 47, of Manchester Township, was arrested about 6:10 p.m. on Jan. 3 and charged her with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated in a school zone, possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle, and reckless driving.

Police officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Etra Road and during their investigation observed a plastic cup with a fluid on the ground beneath one of the vehicles. The fluid had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage, as did the driver, identified as Obrien. That led to field sobriety tests, which Obrien failed. She was taken into custody, and submitted breath samples that resulted in a blood-alcohol reading of 0.13 percent. Obrien was later released, with court action pending.

Driving While Intoxicated

Tanjila Khan, 26, of Bolton Road, East Windsor, was arrested about 1:50 a.m. on Jan. 6 and charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated in a school zone, speeding, and reckless driving.

Police stopped the vehicle Khan was driving after it was observed traveling 45 mph in a 25 mph zone on Wyckoff Mills Road. During the traffic stop, police detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage, which led to the driver performing field sobriety tests. Khan failed those tests and was taken into custody, after which she submitted breath samples that resulted in a blood-alcohol reading of 0.15 percent. Khan was later released with pending court action.

Contempt of Court

George Steve, 24, of Stockton Borough was charged with contempt of court after he went to the Hightstown police station around 8 p.m. on Jan. 3 and turned himself in on a warrant issued by the Hightstown Borough Municipal Court in the amount of $240. Steve was released upon posting bail with pending court action.
