Hightstown Resident Causes Chain Reaction Crash in Princeton

A Hightstown woman was cited for careless driving.

A Hightstown woman was cited for careless driving on Wednesday afternoon after causing a chain reaction accident that led another driver to lose control and crash into a tree.

The accident happened around 2:30 on Wednesday, Princeton Borough Police Capt. Nicholas Sutter said.

Elham Lashkari, 31, of Hightstown, was driving south on Washington Street when she rear-ended a vehicle stopped behind another that was waiting to turn left into the Terrace Club at the intersection of Ivy Lane, Sutter Said.

Lashkari hit a vehicle driven by Stevie Yoewono, 36, from Maryland, who then struck the car in front of his.

Yoewono accidently accelerated, drove around the first vehicle and careened about 500 feet down Washington Street until he collided with a tree, Sutter said.

He was taken to the hospital with a leg injury.
