Hightstown Resident Charged After Stabbing in East Windsor

A Hightstown man was charged after police say he stabbed an 18-year-old following a physical altercation at on Monday, according to .
Michael Rivera, 19, of Maxwell Avenue, fled the scene after slashing the unidentified victim, police said. He turned himself in Wednesday at around 2 p.m.
The victim was stabbed in the back of the neck and upper abdominal area with a folding knife at around 9 p.m., police said in a news release. He was transported to Helene Fuld Medical Center in Trenton and released that evening.

Rivera was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, police said. He was released after posting bail set at $5,000.
