Homeless Man Charged with Possession of Child Pornography

Hightstown Borough Police Department made the arrest in cooperation with Department of Homeland Security-Immigration Custom Enforcement Child Pornography Unit.

The Hightstown Police Department announced today (Friday, Feb. 15) that it apprehended a homeless man in connection with receiving and possessing child pornography.

According to police, on Thursday, Feb. 14, Hightstown Borough Police Department, in cooperation with Department of Homeland Security-Immigration Custom Enforcement Child Pornography Unit, apprehended Jonathan Mendheim, 33, on a United States Arrest Warrant issued for the Eastern District of Tennessee at approximately 5:30 p.m., in the parking lot of Michael’s Plaza, Mercer Street.

Police said Mendheim is a male whose last known address was in Indianapolis, Ind.  Acting upon information provided from the investigation, Mendheim’s vehicle was located in the parking lot of Michael’s Plaza and surveillance on the vehicle began and concluded with Mendheim being taken into custody upon returning to the vehicle.  Mendheim, who was a wanted person with full extradition, was processed and released to the custody of federal agents of Department of Homeland Security-Immigration Customs Enforcement without incident, police said.
