The investigation began when police received calls from one of the victim’s friends, who was concerned after being unable to contact him. The friend subsequently filed a missing persons report.

Police went to the victim’s home several times before obtaining a warrant to search the home and discovered the victim’s body late in the evening of March 26.

On Wednesday, police charged the son with tampering with evidence and hindering the investigation into the death.

The investigation is active and continuing. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Saloom of the Monroe Police Department at 732-521-0222, or Investigator Daniewicz of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office at 732-745-4018.

As is the case with all criminal defendants, Andrew Grossman is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
