Update: Motorcyclist Suffers Leg Injuries in Hightstown Crash

Authorities have released new details of the Sunday morning crash at the intersection of Franklin Street and Maxwell Avenue that left one person injured.

Motorcyclist Victor Viruet, 26, of Mt. Vernon, N.Y. was traveling east on Franklin Street, and a car was making a left turn onto Maxwell Avenue, police said in a statement Monday.

Viruet suffered severe leg injuries and was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center at Fuld where he was listed in stable condition and scheduled for surgery, the statement said.

Officials said Sunday that Viruet suffered life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car, Monica Findley, 50, of Hightstown, and the passenger, Leeanna Findley, 23, of Hightstown, were not injured.

Police responded to the crash around 10:15 a.m., and the collision remains under investigation by the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office and Hightstown Police Department, officials said at the scene.

Editor's note: Police initially identified Victor Viruet as a 36-year-old, but later said that he was 26.
