Plainsboro Man Pleads Not Guilty to Aggravated Manslaughter Charge

Rohit Maddineni was charged with aggravated manslaughter and drunk driving after a crash on Dey Road, which killed an Edison man.

A 25-year-old Plainsboro man facing aggravated manslaughter charges for a one vehicle crash on Dey Road last weekend pleaded not guilty on Tuesday in Superior Court, according to MyCentralJersey.com.

Rohit Maddineni's bail remains set at $300,000 and he has yet to finalize a lawyer, according to the report.

 and crashed into a utility pole along Dey Road at around 3:40 a.m.

Killed in the accident was Pavan Gottumukala, 25, of Edison, who sitting in the rear of the vehicle. A second female passenger whose name was withheld suffered minor injuries, as did Maddineni. 

South Brunswick Police spokesman Sgt. Jim Ryan said the three had been out celebrating Gottumukala's birthday prior to the crash.
