PNC Bank in East Windsor Robbed, Teller Threatened

The suspect gave a bank teller a note demanding money and threatening to shoot, but no gun was actually seen, police said.

East Windsor Police are searching for a man who held up the PNC Bank on Abbington Drive Wednesday afternoon.

At around 2 p.m., the man entered the bank and showed a female bank teller a note demanding money and threatening to shoot her if she did not obey, police said. The teller provided the man with a sum of cash and he left the bank. The amount of money provided to the man was not reported by police. A weapon was never shown, according to police.

The suspect has been described as a dark-skinned black man in his late twenties. The man weighs approximately 150 to 170 pounds and has brown eyes and short black hair. Witnesses described the man as "scruffy"as he appeared to be unshaven and he was wearing a green hooded pullover sweatshirt, a red knit cap, and black gloves, police said.

The East Windsor Township Police Department and the FBI are currently investigating this incident.
