Police: Teens Went to School After Hours

Six 17-year-old boys from Hightstown and East Windsor were charged May 30 with criminal trespass.

said they responded to the Melvin H. Kreps Middle School at 1:16 a.m. after its alarm was activated and arrived to learn the teenagers had entered the school unlawfully. Police said they confronted the boys, who ran away but were apprehended. The boys were released to their parents.

Flower Sign Reported Stolen

said they responded to the 400 block of Mercer Street at 7:54 a.m. on a report that someone stole a flower that said “Prom Flowers” from the lot in Michael’s Plaza. The sign was valued at $25, and police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 609-448-1234.

Cops Seek Baby Formula Thieves

East Windsor Police said they responded to ShopRite at 2:23 p.m. May 27 for a report that three people left the store with a shopping cart full of baby formula, valued at $928.02, without paying for it.

Credit Card Charged After Wawa Patron’s Wallet Goes Missing

East Windsor Police said a woman shopping at Wawa reported losing her wallet at 11:31 a.m. May 25. The wallet was located on store premises with $20 missing, police said, and the victim later found someone had charged $74.83 to her credit card.

Police: Woman Withdrew Someone Else’s Money From Bank

Lorraine P. Melani, 46, of Monroe, was charged May 25 with forgery, theft and driving while suspended.

East Windsor Police said they responded to the McGraw Hill Credit Union at 9:17 a.m. for a report of a possibly fraudulent bank transaction. Over a two-week period, police said, Melani fraudulently withdrew $3,555.10 from someone else’s bank account. She was turned over to Monroe Police on warrants from that jurisdiction.

Man in Florida Jail Faces Local Purse-Snatching Charges

Philip Rondeau, 33, of Walpole, N.H., was charged May 25 with robbery and theft.

East Windsor Police said they responded to a report of a strong-armed robbery in the parking lot of the CVS in the Twin Rivers Mall at 8:34 a.m. Police said they arrived and found someone had forcibly taken a woman’s purse as she entered her vehicle. The man, later identified as Rondeau, shoved the woman, grabbed her purse, entered another vehicle and fled the scene, according to police. The woman was not injured, police said.

Rondeau later used the woman’s credit cards in Trenton and Bristol, Pa., according to a police report. Once police determined Rondeau’s identity, they said they located him in police custody in Orange County, Fla., where he remains on unrelated charges.
