Police Blotter: Multiple Warrant Arrests, Failure to Pay Child Support and Marijuana Possession

The following arrest information was supplied by the police department of Hightstown Borough. It does not indicate a conviction.

Hightstown Police reported multiple warrant warrests, a theft and a marijuana possession charge in the past week.

Woman Charged With Two Warrants

Elizabeth Rarich, 34, of Bolton Road, East Windsor, was charged with contempt of court July 7 after the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department acted on a $684 active warrant issued by Hightstown Borough Municipal Court at 6:55 p.m.  She was turned over to Hightstown  where police found an additional warrant issued by Hamilton Township Municipal Court in the amount of $250.  She was released upon posting bail.

Hightstown Man Charged on Contempt Warrants

Marcos Baculima, 22, of North Main Street, Hightstown, was charged him with contempt of court at 11:47 a.m. July 8.  Police patroling North Main Street recognized Baculima as having two warrants from Hightstown Borough Municipal Court totaling $2,500. He was released upon posting bail.

Minor Accident Results in Warrant Charge

Anthony James, 25, of Palmyra, was charged on a $1,600 contempt of court warrant from Riverside Township Municipal Court at 8:12 p.m. on July 8 after police responded to a minor motor vehicle accident on Franklin Street.  Police found James had an active warrant during a credential check and he was released to Riverside Police Department in lieu of bail. 

Wire Reported Stolen From Business

Police said three reels of copper wire were stolen from Lucas Electric on Mercer Street between 8 p.m. July 8 and 9:02 a.m. July 9. Police said the value of the reels was not known. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Hightstown Borough Police Department. 

Hightstown Man Charged with Contempt, Failure to Pay Child Support

Christopher Maxian, 42, of North Academy Street, Hightstown, was charged with contempt of court and failure to pay child support July 9.  Police patroling Stockton Street recognized Maxian as wanted on a $1,000 warrrant from Hightstown Borough Municipal Court and charged him with contempt at 2:06 p.m.  While he was in custody, police found a $15,165.94 warrant issued by Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department for failure to pay child support.  Maxian posted bail to Hightstown Borough Municipal Court and was turned over to the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department in lieu of bail. 

Woman Charged on $1,000 Warrant

Brittany Vatovec, 18, of Manalapan, was charged with contempt of court at 5:27 p.m. on July 11.  Manalapan Township Police Department charged her on a $1,000 warrant issued by Hightstown Borough Municipal Court  and she was turned over to Hightstown.  She was transported to Mercer County Adult Correction Center in lieu of bail. 

Woman Turns Self in at Police Station

Amy Mazariegos, 19, of Plainsboro, turned herself in to the Hightstown Borough Police Department on a $250 warrant issued by East Windsor Township Municipal Court.  Ms. Mazariegos was released upon posting bail. 

Woman Admits to Marijuana Possession 

Brittany Cash, 25, of Wyckoff Mills Court, Hightstown, was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, after a medical emergency at home that resulted from ingesting the substance at 8:20 p.m. July 12, according to police.  Police said while she was being evaluated she admitted to smoking marijuana earlier and produced a small baggie of suspected marijuana, showing the officers what she had smoked.  She was charged after refusing medical treatment, and was later released on a summons complaint with pending court action. 

Man Charged on $1,500 Warrant

Zenon Dionicio, 45, of South Main Street, Hightstown, was charged with contempt of court July 13.  Officers served a $1,500 warrant issued by Hightstown Borough Municipal Court at 5:51 a.m. and he was later released upon posting bail. 

Man Charged on Contempt Warrant

Jose Robles, 50, of Westerlea Arms Apartments, Hightstown, was charged with contempt of court July 13.  Officers served a $500 warrant from Hightstown Borough Municipal Court at 6:11 a.m. Robles was later released upon posting bail.
