Police Blotter: Traffic Offenses, Multiple Warrant Arrests

The following arrest information was supplied by the police department of Hightstown Borough. It does not indicate a conviction.

Broken tail light leads to warrant charge

Stephen L. Johnson, Sr., 46, of Windsor, was charged with failing to maintain lamps and contempt of court at 9:27 a.m. July 21.  He was stopped on Franklin Street for having a brake light out and a credential check revealed an active traffic warrant in the amount of $114 issued by West Windsor Township Municipal Court.  He was taken into custody and later released upon posting bail. 

Woman charged with driving suspended and traffic warrant

Tiffany Hill, 24, of Burlington, was charged with driving while suspended, unlicensed driving, and contempt of court at 3:32 p.m. July 21.  Police said a random license plate inquiry on Westerlea Avenue revealed Hill’s driver’s license was suspended and that she had a $300 active traffic warrant from Hightstown Borough Municipal Court.  She was taken into custody and was later released after posting bail with pending court action. 

Man charged with speeding, traffic warrant

Brian Bernstein, 44, of Perrineville, was charged with speeding and contempt of court at 6:33 p.m. July 23.  Bernstein was stopped on Etra Road for traveling 44 mph in a 25 mph school zone.  A credential check revealed a $240 active traffic warrant issued by Manalapan Municipal Court.  He was taken into custody and was later released upon posting bail.
