Police: East Windsor Man Enters Car, Eats Food and Steals Wallet

The unlocked car was parked in the Hightstown Presbyterian Church lot, police said.

An East Windsor resident went into someone’s unlocked parked car Tuesday night and ate and drank food that was in the car before stealing a wallet and leaving, Hightstown police said.

Police could not find the man that night after searching the area near the , where the car was parked, and on Wednesday an investigation determined the thief was 50-year-old Lonny Brown, police said.

Brown was charged with theft from a motor vehicle and criminal trespassing after the vehicle’s owner positively identified him, and was given a summons complaint with pending court action.
