An East Windsor man was arrested by police after he allegedly pointed a gun at a woman and demanded entry into her Windsor Regency apartment during the early morning hours of Aug. 11.
The suspect, identified by police as 23-year-old Edwin Chuqui-Cabrera, was at the woman’s apartment earlier in the evening for a party. A friend of the woman was able to close and lock the door, shutting Chuqui-Cabrera out, according to police. There were no injuries reported.
The suspect ran away from the apartment after the incident. He was located by police within the Windsor Regency apartment complex and found sleeping in his car. He was arrested and charged with terroristic threats, harassment, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, driving under the influence, careless driving and reckless driving. Chuqui-Cabrera was remanded to Mercer County Corrections in default of $20,000 bail.
