Marijuana Grow Lab, Weapons Found in Cranbury Home, Police Say

Christopher Nady was arrested and charged with drug and firearm possession.

Cranbury resident Christopher Nady, 33, was arrested last week after police said they found a marijuana grow lab and weapons within his South Main Street home.

Cranbury police responded to the house during the early morning hours of Jan. 12 after a complaint of a disturbance was made, police said. Signs of drug use were observed by police during their investigation and officers quickly found a marijuana grow lab as well as other drug paraphernalia within the home.

Seventeen potted marijuana and seedling plants were seized along with a large bag of processed marijuana and large amounts of growing and narcotic paraphernalia, according to police. Weapons were also confiscated during the probe, including knives, four firearms, and 1900 rounds of ammunition, Cranbury police said.

Police charged Nady with possession of marijuana over 50 grams, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession with intent to distribute within 500 feet of public housing, possession of firearms in accordance with drug violations, possession of drug paraphernalia and assault. After processing, Nady was transported to Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in default of $25,000 bail.

Well it appears that I would just be repetitious to ask why are we releasing these criminals on bail? This crime is obviously one that bears keeping the creep in jail. Hopefully lawmakers will finally use some common sense.
