Police: Four Alcohol-Related Arrests in One Day

The following arrest information was supplied by the police departments of East Windsor Township and Hightstown Borough. It does not indicate a conviction.

and police reported a total of three drunk driving arrests and one charge of underage possession of alcohol, all filed May 28.

  • Police: Driving over center island leads to DWI charge

Kelly Odenheimer, 38, of Voelbel Road, East Windsor, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI in a school zone, failure to maintain lane, reckless driving, and careless driving.

Hightstown Police said they stopped her at 11:43 p.m. on Dutch Neck Road after seeing her drive over a cement center island in the downtown. Police said she smelled of alcohol and failed field sobriety tests. At police headquarters, her blood-alcohol level reportedly registered 0.13 percent.

  • DWI arrest at Walmart

Gildaberk Rizo-Moran, 51, of Devonshire Drive, East Windsor, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to report motor vehicle accident, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident and improper backing.

East Windsor Police said they responded to the parking lot of Walmart at 5:54 p.m. for a report of a possibly intoxicated driver who had hit two parked vehicles. Police said they arrived to find Rizo-Moran had bloodshot, watery eyes and smelled of alcohol, and he was arrested after field sobriety tests.

  • Police: Drunken East Windsor man hid under borough staircase

Marco Cadena, 20, of Princeton Arms Apartments, East Windsor, was charged with underage possession of alcohol and disorderly conduct.

Hightstown Police said they responded to Tavern on the Lake at 2:03 a.m. for a report of an unruly, intoxicated customer. Police said they found a “highly intoxicated” Cadena hiding beneath a stairwell in the center of town. He was released to a friend.

  • Edison woman faces underage DWI charge

Kelli O’Brien, 20, of Edison, was charged with underage driving while intoxicated, speeding, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to maintain lane, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and failure to exhibit an insurance card.

Police said they stopped her at 2:33 a.m. on Franklin Street for driving 45 mph in a 25-mph zone and crossing the double yellow lines several times. Once stopped, police said they smelled alcohol and arrested O’Brien after she failed field sobriety tests. At headquarters, her blood-alcohol level reportedly registered 0.07 percent. She was released to a family member.
