Police: Intruder Found Sleeping in Kitchen, Charged in Three Burglaries

Some of the stolen items included a six-pack of beer, cell phones and a wallet.

A man who broke into a Winchester Drive house early Saturday morning and fell asleep in the kitchen was charged in three East Windsor burglaries, police said.

The homeowner heard glass break, and when he went into his kitchen, found the intruder sleeping, police said.

Hamilton resident Carlos Humberto Miranda, 29, was found by police hiding in bushes outside the house with items, including cell phones, laptop, wallet, a credit card and a six-pack of beer, that connected him to two other burglaries in the area, police said.

The other two burglarized houses were on Allison Drive and Winchester Drive, police said.

Miranda was charged with three counts each of burglary, theft and trespassing, and released on his own recognizance.

Police did not respond to a request for additional information.
