Police: Pa. Man Caught With Drugs During Traffic Stop

East Windsor police said the vehicle being driven by Marvin E. Stoby was stopped because its registration had expired.

Drug Offense

Marvin E. Stoby, 29, of Bensalem, Pa., was arrested about 9:35 p.m. on March 16 and charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle after the automobile he was driving was stopped in the area of Route 130 and Westfield Drive, police said.

Police said the traffic stop was initiated because the vehicle’s registration had expired.

“While speaking with driver [Stoby], the officer smelled marijuana coming from within the vehicle. Subsequent investigation revealed loose marijuana within the vehicle,” police said in a news release.

Criminal Mischief

Police are investigating an act of criminal mischief in which someone punched a hole in the wall and removed a smoke detector in the laundry room of Building 10 of the Princeton Arms apartment complex between 6 p.m. on March 12 and 6 a.m. on March 13. Damage was estimated at $200.

A resident of the Wyncrest apartment complex reported to police that between 6 p.m. on March 14 and 4 p.m. on March 15, someone deliberately scratched his vehicle, causing damage estimated at $450.

Criminal Mischief

Two of the tires on a vehicle parked on Disbrow Hill Road were found slashed, with damage estimated at $800. Police said the crime happened between 6 p.m. on March 14 and 11:48 a.m. on March 15.
