Police Stop Car for Speeding, Arrest Driver for DWI

Hightstown Borough police also released details about several other recent arrests.

Driving While Intoxicated

Evan Pinard, 33, of the Princeton Arms apartments, East Windsor was arrested on Stockton Street about 1 a.m. on March 3 and charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated in a school zone, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, and speeding.

Police said Pinard was initially stopped for traveling 44 mph in a 25 mph speed zone and for driving in the opposing lane of travel. During the traffic stop, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was smelled and police had Pinard perform field sobriety tests. He was taken into custody after he failed those tests and later submitted breath samples that resulted in a blood alcohol reading of 0.12 percent, according to police. Pinard was later released to a friend, with court action pending.

Driving While Intoxicated

Angel Jimenez-Feijoo, 54, of Bensalem, Pa., was arrested on Gilman Place about 12:45 a.m. on March 6 and charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated in a school zone, and reckless driving, according to police.

Officers responding to a report about a possibly intoxicated driver found Jimenez-Feijoo to be intoxicated and trying to drive away from the area, police said, noting that Jimenez-Feijoo later submitted breath samples resulting in a blood alcohol reading of 0.19 percent. He was later released to a friend, with court action pending.

Driving While Suspended

Cleveland Johnson, 44, of Robbinsville, was arrested about 10:45 p.m. on March 1 and charged with driving while suspended, providing false information to hinder apprehension, contempt of court, and driving without headlights after the vehicle he was operating was stopped by police on Mercer Street for a traffic violation.

During the traffic stop, Johnson allegedly provided a false name and date of birth to officers. Johnson’s true identity was eventually uncovered, police said, and he was found to be a suspended driver with warrants issued for his arrest from Plainsboro Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000 and Bordentown Municipal Court in the amount of $750. Johnson was later released after posting bail.

Unlicensed Driving

Juan Torres, 39, of Freehold was arrested about 2:30 p.m. on March 3 and charged with contempt of court, unlicensed driving, and failure to inspect after the vehicle was operating was stopped on Franklin Street for a traffic violation and he was found to be an unlicensed driver and to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest in the amount of $750 issued by Farmingdale Municipal Court. He was later released after posting bail.

Contempt of Court

Damira Turner, 24, of Trenton was charged with contempt of court after she was arrested in Plainsboro Township and turned over to Hightstown police at 12:33 a.m. on Feb. 28 in connection with an outstanding warrant issued by Hightstown Borough Municipal Court in the amount of $219. She was later released after posting bail.

Contempt of Court

John P. Wilson, 40, of Trenton, was charged with contempt of court after he was arrested by New Jersey State Police and turned over to Hightstown police at 3:44 a.m. on March 3 in connection with an outstanding warrant issued by Hightstown Borough Municipal Court in the amount of $656. He was later released after posting bail.
