Routine Traffic Stop Results in Two Drug Arrests

A recent routine traffic stop resulted in the arrests of two men for alleged drug possession, according to East Windsor Township police.

Davion Harris, 26, of Trenton, and David McCall, 24, also of Trenton, were each charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana after the vehicle in which they were riding as passengers was stopped by Officer Robert Davison on Route 130 South about 11:15 p.m. on Feb. 22, police said.

Police said the officer saw the Mazda traveling on Route 130 near Route 33 with a defective headlight and a defective taillight. 

“The vehicle was stopped and the officer smelled and odor of marijuana within the vehicle,” police said in a news release. “Investigation revealed a partially -smoked marijuana cigarette in the ashtray and two bags of marijuana on the passenger.  Another passenger was found to be in possession of a marijuana cigarette.  Both passengers were arrested and both were discovered to have outstanding warrants from other jurisdictions.”

After being charged in East Windsor, Harris and McCall were released to the custody of Hamilton Township Police and Trenton Police, respectively, in connection with outstanding warrants from those jurisdictions.
