South Street, S. Main Street Homes Broken Into

Two homes on South Street and two homes on South Main Street were burglarized; four cars on both streets were also broken into.

The Hightstown Borough Police Department are investigating several home and car burglaries that took place last week in the area of South Main Street and South Street.

Two homes located on the 100 block of South Street were illegally entered between July 27 and July 29, according to police. No items were stolen from the first home and there were no signs of forced entry, police said. However, the second home was forcibly entered and had approximately $1,000 worth of items taken, including a variety of jewelry and electronics, according to police.

A third home on the 400 block of South Main Street was also the target of a theft as clothing was stolen during this same period. Yet, the home exhibited no signs of a break-in, according to police. On the same block on July 29 between midnight and 1:30 a.m., burglars attempted to break into another home, but were unsuccessful, police said.
