Speeding Stop in Hightstown Turns into Drug Arrest

Marijuana and heroin were seized from the car by Hightstown police.

A Plainsboro woman was arrested by Hightstown police after she was allegedly found to be in possession of heroin, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Stockton Street on the evening of July 9. 

After a police officer pulled over Natasha Clewes-Garner, 23, for speeding, the officer noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car. The patrolman found and seized what police said is under fifty grams of marijuana and five glassine packets of heroin from Clewes-Garner's car, according to police. 

Clewes-Garner was arrested and charged with possession of heroin, possession of marijuana under fifty grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, and speeding. She was later released pending court.
